A brief quick update for all of you waiting for the official release announcement of our all new AEON Performance line as first introduced during the Drone Rodeo and the CES in Las Vegas following its first appearance during the DCL finals in Berlin Germany late December ’17.

We take every step of the AEON development very serious, without allowing much of a compromise in its design, construction, durability and performance. Since December 2017 we have been working together with selected top notch FPV test pilots from all across the world to iron out even the slightest imperfections. So far we have not disappointed our test pilots. Some of the comments received from them fully compliment what we are after from day one of the AEON development project.

We are about at the finish line and ready to release not only the AEON frame series but also the very unique POD, a POD that revolutionizes the FPV world. Final crash testing is being completed while I’m tying this text 😉 Everything is prepared, including our new non-slip silicone Kevlar battery straps, the new motor series and our brand new performance battery series.  Expect availability by this coming March.

Every single component, even the hardware, has been designed and produced with the very same philosophy – no compromise. Let us know in case you would like to know more about the new AEON series. Check this photo from our US Project Manager Jamie who is busy getting frames ready for further testing – it has just been taken today.  What do you think?

An initial review came in from our friend Krazy FPV. Go check the review and comments in his YouTube channel.

By chance do you have a ball park estimate of pricing for the different versions of the Aeon? And then what are the different options for the versions meaning what you are including (the review hinted at a semi kit type of thing).

    Thanks for the help!

We haven’t finalized the pricing as of now.

You will be able to select the components you need, including the different frame options, as we have 3 different frame options available. The POD will be sold separately as well. And yes, we will also offer one kit that includes most of the needed components. Basically you can choose based on your personal preference.  There are 3 frames available for you to select from, the UL12, UL16 and the AEON HD frame. The UL frames are “ultra light”. The POD can be used on all of them.  I hope that we will have our product page completed with the various configuration and buying options before end of the month.  We are going to offer our own motor, battery and non-slip Kevlar battery strap as well; they are designed to best match the AEON series.

I guess I’ll ask Jamie, the Project Manager behind the scene, to jump in here and share additional details. He knows them all and he will make sure to share what’s allowed to be shared at the moment 🙂

    Best regards,

    Hey sherfz1,

Thank you so much for joining up on our forums and for your questions.

The pricing of the AEON series will be based on offering the frame and pod as stand alone components. But you will also be able to purchase our extra’s like our Aurora motors and some other hardware additions as well, such as the acro kit for the frame for LOS flying.

We do already have a pricing on the Aurora 2305 2500Kv motors. $25.99, but we may run a slight discount at launch.  For the frame it will be this week we will have final pricing from our carbon cutter for the initial order, but likely frame and pod will be around $60-70 for the pair. Carbon has been one of our biggest hurdles to over come in this process as we sought to find the best supplier we could offering only the best carbon quality to our specs and cutting that matched our level of perfection and finish.

All electronics for the AEON are off the shelf or based on the build that the pilot want’s to pursue, but we will also have our recommendation of products that we’ve found create the easiest or most straightforward build.

I hope that helps answer your questions.

A really great overview by krazy FPV and of course some great flight footage! That crash shows how well the build held up. 🙂

so from what i have gathered, you will not be offering a “team” build kit with the Aeon?

      scherfz1,

Correct. Initially up front we won’t offer a kit that has everything required as many of the components are off the shelf stock that is already carried by other retailers.  Our hopes is to eventually carry some of these stocks, but currently our full attention and focus is getting our own product line out and to market first.

Once we have this down and completed, then we will likely bring more of the standard products on line as well.

But up front we will be offering our frame, pod, motors, lipo batteries,  and lipo straps. Much more to come in the near future!

I hope that helps answer your question.

ok and seeing that you are focusing on your own product line (which is awesome), but there also will not be a bundle/pick and choose from your own product line? like aeon frame, pod, motors, lipo, straps,  etc… or will there be?

    Hey Drone Art,

since chinese new year is finally over, do you have any news on the product. Im especially interested in the pod, but also the UL16 frame.
I don’t know if they are directly going to be shipped from China, but if not I know a dutch rc shop that might be interested in stocking the frames.

      Hey Shawn,

Thanks for reaching out to us.  With CNY over things are in motion again. However many factories just getting back into motion this week.

For our motor series, 2 materials are still enroute to T-motor as they had to be custom produced for us (no one else doing it), so once they arrive then the production will begin. We have received word from them that our our is set to be complete by April 2nd at the latest. So the motors will be ready by or before that date.

For carbon, again our carbon specifications required a special order of carbon. So this order is also enroute for production.

We should have a date on our carbon completion date by today, so I will ensure to update once we hear back.

We do have some pre-production samples that have already gone out to some test pilots.

      Best regards,

      Jamie

Hi there and thanks for asking 😉

All parts are currently in production and preparation. Most of them, or actually all of them, should arrive in our warehouse by mid of this coming month.  We are pretty much confident to have the complete AEON parts and options available online this coming April.

    Best regards,

      Hey Clint,

Thanks so very much for the positive feedback. We greatly appreciate it and are always listening to the community.

As for accessories we will be launching some additional hoods for other camera options and may even release a different POD design to help for mounting the Session. However this wasn’t in initial design as company and ultralight was primary focus for initial launch.

Also we do plan to offer printable files for frame protectors at the motor base section.

Maybe you could share with us your thoughts or ideas for accessories that you may be interested in.

      Best regards,

      Jamie

      Hi there Clint.

A warm welcome to our community.

Thanks for your encouraging comment. I’ll make sure to share it with the team. The simple AEON product configurator should be online sometime later today or just a few hours into tomorrow. We are working on getting the initial product page content completed as I write this reply 😉 As Jamie mentioned, we always welcome community feedback and suggestions. Looking forward to your further feedback!
