I’ve noticed that Droneart seems to have gone with Frsky or Spectrum. I have an EOX with Flysky that I fly through PPM . I also have two more EOX. Should I go with Frsky or Spectrum? Thanks

    Hey Jim,

Hope all is going well for you. In regards to the focus on Spektrum and Frsky, the main purpose for this is due to these to protocols being the strongest supported in the RC realm and namely in the drone industry.

As for a recommendation of which one to go with that really just does boil down to personal preference. It’s kind of like the Apple vs. Android arena. You will always have people on both sides with in the end no real clear winner for all. ๐Ÿ™‚

Also with the ever changing industry then each brand is continuously more pushing forward, so while somethings may have been true a year or two ago they could have changed with newer generation releases of the radio.

Personally for myself I have flown both. For a long time I was a Spektrum only pilot. Thenย  with the FPV community seeming to really move more and more towards Frsky, I decided to give it a go.

For me I liked the feel of a Spektrum radio in my hands. The ergonomics just feel really nice and I still feel that way today. However, for me in the end the Frsky protocol ran out because with the OpenTX software then everything is much more customizable. So it has a much more “open source” type feel. But then Spektrum just released radios that have Android os, but that is also very top end of their line. Not their more budget friendly options.

Both are very very different in their software and how you do things, but I find both to be pretty intuitive once you get the hang of them. Also with Frsky you can incorporate other protocols like TBS. Also I feel like you get more for your money with Frsky.

I would highly recommend researching both a bit or even watch some comparison videos and see if there are key things that stick out to you personally in preferences, as ultimately that’s what it boils down to. And if you have hobby shop close by it’s always great to hold them in your hand and see how they feel to you.

And if you have any specific questions don’t hesitate to ask and I will certainly do what I can to be of help. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey jamie was wondering if people have good luck with like the lemon RX or the Orange.I want to bind my EoX to my jumper T8SG V2 badly lol.And if this is jamie i want to appologize i was an absolute beginner and most of the problems i had beside the obvious was Ignorance.Ive had a year of flying now and i have learned so much.My navigator is still up and flying well.one is destroyed, and one is perfect and i absolutely love it.Would love to fly the EoX with jumper or any of the RC logger products.

    hey tygger420,

Great to hear from you! Really hope all is going well. No need to apologize. We are always here to help and especially anyone starting off and learning and growing through the hobby. We all started at the beginning at some point. ๐Ÿ™‚

So great to hear you are still flying and have the Navigator going as well. In regards to your questions, Both the LemonRx and Orange have been used without any issues, including myself personally. So really either route is perfectly fine. As you already know just ensure it’s PPM and you’ll be good to go.

If you have any other questions or need other help don’t hesitate to let us know. Always happy to help!

Hey Jim W. Jamie is so right.I just got my Jumper T8SG V2 plus Multiprotocol and it is absolutely amazing ,I can bind to just about everything mainstream and legacy. So many people need to ask not what i can bind to but what i cant bind to.And now with silverware firmware the hobby is jumping years at a time.Hey Jamie did you have to use the Lemon RX with satillite or no.and how many channel did you get.6 7 or 8.They have gone up in price i guess sense there getting so old.Anyways the extreme V2 is almost to good a price to pass up.Hey the controller for eye one extereme v2 looks like its for altitude hold? how well does it fly with stick centered.I pulled spring from navigator and works so much better. Thanks jamie
